ADF | 5:2 Articles

Fast Days Healing Days have collected a group of articles on the alternate day and 5:2 fasting models of nutritional intervention. Although there is controversy about the long term effects of alternate day fasting on humans, we believe the emerging science being conducted on humans (rather than rats and primates) supports a credible position supporting ADF as a means of improving health markers, preventing or down-regulating diseases of inflammation and civilization while aiding weight loss. There will also be articles on the latest research and science of carbohydrate restriction, which also helps control blood sugar, insulin and inflammatory/oxidative stress responses to food. We urge anyone considering a fasting program to consult with their health care provider prior to beginning any new dietary regimen.
