Smoked Gouda Turkey Club Wrap

Jump to recipe

More low calorie, nutritious, dude-food from Brian Hall of Fast Days Healing Days, that doesn’t taste like it’s low calorie or nutritious. When meals-in-minutes are important on Fast Days (FDs), Brian whips up a wrap and calls the meal, “Done!” Using low calorie cheese and meats and filling leafy greens add bulk to the FD, while delicious low calorie Secret Sauce adds bold flavor.

Low Calorie and low carb Smoked Gouda Turkey Club Wrap makes a filling Fast Day (FD) meal-in-minutes.

When you’re busy and on-the-go as much as we are, often the last thing you want to think about at the end of the day is coming home and making dinner. That goes double for finding food when you’re sick or a family member is sick and too tired or ill, to cook. This happened frequently in our house, while Susie T. was undergoing treatment for advanced breast cancer. It continues now since the treatments left her with lasting fatigue. Meals often fall to me. And although I do love grilling and making a few non-grill dishes, I don’t have the culinary chops that Susie T. has—nor the creativity for developing complex recipes. And when I don’t feel like cooking, that usually means, “wrap time.”

So I do what most guys do—rely on dude-food to get us through the storm. This Smoked Gouda Turkey Club Wrap is a prime example of dude-food. Little to no cooking required, quick, easy, filling, tastes great and has bacon—perfect dude-food, am I right? Try it some time.

(Oh, we found this brand of light cheese, similar to Laughing Cow, but with fewer calories per wedge. It’s called Sonoma Jack and they have light versions and full fat versions—only 25 calories per wedge. The Smoked Gouda is really tasty and goes great with turkey and bacon.)

What’s your favorite wrap? We want to know! Maybe we’ll make it next and post it here at Fast Days Healing Days!! Post your favorite wrap in the comments above!
